Hello Group,
I was at the TAG Conference this weekend in Boston and there were few representatives from Genzyme who mentioned they are working on a new oral chelator. I did get a chance to talk with them and they mentioned they have this product under clinical trail. Below is the information I could find out from the Genzyme site

This is quite exciting!
Another option for chelation is definitely a good news for us. Now Novartis is going to face serious competition with L1 and deferitrin (GT56-252), which means reduced prices of Desferal and Exjade :yay
I can't wait till they release the results. I sure hope they will be good enough.
