Title: Any thing wrong with the software??

Hi

Sometimes when i check the section '' show new replies to your posts'', i find nothing and later by coincidence i see that there was a reply. This happened to me when i was checking for new replies 30 minutes ago and when i loged in one of the posts ''hi there by Jennifer'' to edit my reply, i found that there was a reply by Andy and it didn't appear when i first logged though he replied earlier.

Does any body know why this happens? Is there anything wrong with my computer?? :huh

I've noticed that sometimes notification of posts by email is also slow. I think it's most likely the server and not our site that is causing the delay. Let me know if the replies don't show at all after some time has passed.

It happens to me too.

I've stopped relying on email notification. Now, I just click the big round bullet (with distinct colour to indicate new post)besides the board and it shows all the new and unread posts since my last visit including the replies to my posts.

This works and no post goes unread.

I usually go down near the bottom of the page and read the most recent posts from there as often posts I've already read show up in my unread posts lists.

No they don't appear at all even after some time pass. For example, Khalifa replied to one of my posts on the 5th of May and i just read it today (15th of May) by coincidence when i logged in the post to check some information

Hi Manal,

Are you also choosing "notify" for threads you want email notification for?

Danielle has been handling the technical aspects of the site but I'll take a look and see if I can find anything.

Thanks Andy. Actually i never used the ''notiify'' before for any threads, but i will use it now

You can modify your notification settings in your Profile, under Modify Profile/Notifications and Email. Check one of the boxes and pick an option in the drop down box and then save your settings.
