Title: A Brief Message From Danielle
Post by: Andy Battaglia on December 09, 2007, 05:32:56 AM
I got an sms from Danielle today in response to the birthday greetings that I passed on from everyone. She replied with the following:

"Thank you...Tell everyone I'll be back soon. I've had a severe case of the flu and I've been out of it."

She just can't catch a break lately. I hope the new year will be much kinder to her.  :happyyes

Thank you soooo much, you guys!  I was sick the whole month of December, and it was not pleasant.  I'm actually just starting to feel better now.  I was so exhausted and slept so much for weeks.  I was getting so much blood and still couldn't keep my counts up.  Now my ferritin is back up and I'm trying to get it down again.  :(

I've missed you all and hope your holidays were wonderful!  Happy New Year to you all and I hope this year brings you good health and much happiness!  Love you guys!   :bighug

Aww, thanks you guys.   :wub

Andy, I'm going to be starting the Exjade along with the Desferal again.  I have been off of the Exjade because of the stomach issues, and especially couldn't use it after the surgery, but will be starting it again soon.  I never stopped using the Desferal, but I was getting so much blood that I couldn't keep the ferritin down.  So, hopefully the two chelators combined will bring it down again.  :dunno

Danielle - it is so nice to see your posts again.
I hope that your health continues to improve.  It sounds like your surgery was a success.  I hope your ferritin responds well to the chelation.  Doctors often say that these short term spurts are not as harmful as long term iron overload.

We love you and hope that you had a great birthday.

Love,
Sharmin
