Hamza foundation is reputed social welfare organization of NWFP, registered with Social Welfare Department of Governement of NWFP and Health Regulatory Authority. It is a none profit, none political charitable Organization. Hamza Foundation started its services from July 2006. Main office is situated in Peshawar.
Hamza Foundation started with an aim to serve humanity and bring a hope of life among deprived peoples who are suffering from deadly blood disorders. Hamza Foundation and welfare Hospital has a setup to provide screened healthy blood to Thalassemia, Haemophilia and blood cancer patients. About 534 patients till july2009 are registered having different blood disorders like Thalassemia, Haemophilia and Blood Cancer, most of the patients are children. These patients are provided with best medical facilities including screened healthy blood and free meal. Hamza foundation also provide blood to other patients who are treated in different Government and private hospitals. Beside all these activities Hamza Foundation aims to create awareness among general public through seminars, Public walks and press conferences on different occasions. Hamza Foundation is also starting counseling services for the parents of the patients who are suffering from major blood diseases.
Due to Mass displacement of peoples from Swat, Bajur and Buner and lack of medical facilities in IDP’s Camps. Hamza Foundation started free medical services for the IDP’s of Swat , Bajur and Buner from very beginning. In this program free medical camps were arranged at Jalala IDP’s Camp and a Rehydration/sunstroke Centre at Jalozai Camp. Free medical Mobile camps visited different Hujras and schools at Takht Bhai and Gujar ghari. Free medicines and Ambulance services were provided to IDP’s in this program. About 16000 patients were treated in these medical camps and Rs.2260,000 medicines were distributed. Beside this medical aid Hamza foundation also distributed Coolers, Soaps, Food items, pillows, Machar dani and other common daily use items in these IDP’s Camp.
Hamza Foundation provided all these facilities by itself and with the help of public donation. Hamza foundation aims to provide more better services to the IDP’s and other patients in future. In this regard public support and help would be highly appreciated.
