Title: THALASSEMIA PATIENTS IN INDIA
Post by: Sharmin on February 16, 2011, 06:06:47 PM
A young thalassemia patient in India requires a pump.  Can someone please guide us so that Ankita can get a pump.  Chelation is essential to survival and well being in thalassemia - and this young lady has been requesting information about a pump for quite some time.

Anyone having any information please post information as soon as possible.

I hope that everyone has access to exjade (asunra, desirox), or L1 in the meantime if they are having difficulty obtaining desferal and associated supplies - but we must make sure that no one goes without chelation as the consequences can be devastating.

Thank you all for your help,

Sharmin

Zaini,

Thank you so much.  I sent her some contacts from our list of treatment centers in India - but this should be even more helpful.

I hope she is able to get the supplies she requires.

Thanks again,

Sharmin
