If you know where to buy desferal pumps in your country, please post as a reply to this post the following information:
1. Manufacturer
2. Name of company that sells them to the public and contact info for that company. Email address, website address, phone #, physical address. Any or all of that info would be appreciated.
3. Approximate cost (if you know).
Also, I have heard a few times that pumps in Pakistan aren't so expensive. Can someone please supply the necessary info ASAP on where they can be purchased? I need this info as soon as possible.
If you know where pumps can be repaired, that info would also be helpful.
Let's build a database so we are not so lost when these questions come up.

I havent had an electric pump for ages. Instead I get 1 of these for each day:
http://www.ecomm.baxter.com/ecatalog/browseCatalog.do?lid=10001&hid=10001&cid=10016&key=4c9308615c2d041e33ebac65d14b5b&pid=460893
The hospital fill it with Desferal and I just throw it out after use.
I dont however know where to buy it and everything, but I imagine it will be easiere/cheapere for some patients, as it dont require an actual punmp?

I need information quickly and it isn't coming and I am confused as to why. Almost every thal has used a pump and parents have had to acquire them. Can we please get some input here?

Andy,
We were supplied with a pump, tubing and supplies from our children's hospital pharmacy. It was a large pump and the desferal was premixed in an iv bag. Lil carried the pump and desferal in a backpack on his back. It was probably not the most convenient or technologically advanced pump, but it worked when our son was little. I will look on the Oakland website to see if they have more information about pumps.
