Title: My dear friend Arthur Bank
Post by: Sharmin on March 03, 2014, 09:07:00 PM
It is with a heavy heart that I write about the passing of my dear friend Arthur Bank.

Since my son was diagnosed with thalassemia major, 15 years ago, I have been communicating with him.

The kind and gentle soul that he was - he always responded to my questions and encouraged me.  Over the years he became a friend and we were fortunate enough to meet him in 2009 at the thalassemia conference in New York.

I cannot find words to convey my sadness in losing my dear friend and warrior who fought along side us against this disease that we all battle.  Mr. Bank passed away at the age of 78.

I will miss him terribly and have a broken heart from hearing this sad new,

 :sorrow

May his soul rest in peace and may his family be blessed,

Sharmin

RIP Arthur. I had gotten to know you through Facebook and had grown very fond of you. I am very saddened that you are gone.
