Has anyone found any medical articles on drugs (mainly sulfa and other antibiotics) that they can share the links too? I am actively looking but I cannot find any. Your help is greatly appreciated. Finding medical evidence to this list is crucial.

The potential of sulfa drugs to cause hemolysis in alpha thal patients is mentioned by every thalassemia website, but when I tried to find articles about it, every article I found was a subscription needed article. Some key words to use in searches are hemolysis, alpha thalassemia, sulfa drugs and favism.

It's a sulfur drug, so it's not surprising it causes you problems.

Sulfur drugs can cause a breakdown of red blood cells in thalassemics. Sulfur should be avoided whenever possible.
