I just wanted to let you all know that continuing with Andy's suggestion - using prednisone in pulses around the time of transfusion - his hg was 100 after 3 weeks - which is the highest it has been 3 weeks post transfusion this year.  Thanks again Andy.    His fer is continuing to declilne and after losing his summer tan - and continuing to take IP6 his skin color is free of the orange color - he is looking light and pinky again.

thank you all! :hugfriend :hugfriend

I am so happy to hear that he continues to improve.

Brother Ashish is getting his website up again and I took a look yesterday and what did I see? A long article about IP6! The more I read about IP6 the more convinced I am that it should be in the thal treatment program. In addition to its ability to chelate iron it also inhibits the harmful activity of iron. It helps prevent the damage that hydroxy radicals do to cells and it has been found to be useful in diabetics and is also a liver cleanser. It is also relatively cheap and very easy to use. It is already found in every cell in the body so the toxicity issue isn't a question. Because it is also a very powerful antioxidant, I have begun taking it daily.
Andy

All we are saying is give thals a chance.
