it always feels good to know that my achievement is inspiring many others  to do the same and come back in life .. its not such a hard job  ,, you must b self determined and commited to your treatment plan and then things will start turing in your favour ,,,, its easy to get ride of Ferritin  but for that ,, u must b well determined to do that ,, ,to make that possible for your self ....  a little hard work now will make your life easy forever ,,,, as it happened in my case ,,,, now i'm off to desferal at home and thats a big relief for me ....   wish you all the best of luck !!!...

yeah ,, till last january to this novvember i was on 2 desferal with Tx and 9 tabs Ferriprox a day ....  but after seeing the a little rise in my S.Fe level  my heamotologist  prescripted 3 desferal with tx and 9 tabs Ferriprox a day ,,,  so since then i m on 3 desferal with tx and 9 tabs ferriprox a day ....  but i were a little bit careless and irregular with Ferriprox  ... :\ ... 

Latest S.Fe Report  05-January-2010
                                                    Normal range (for my age)                         Result

Latest S.Fe Report  07-April-2010

imy chelation plan since 05-January-2010 uptil 30-Nov-2010 .. ...
Ferriprox = 9 tablets a day  
Desferal = 2 with Tx only

beside the few desferal wastege scene during transfusions , and a few week gaps of Ferriprox ...

here's my latest S.Ferritin Report Done on 30-11-2010

after nov-30-2010 my doc changed the treatment a little bit and prescripted me  :
Ferriprox = 9 tablets a day  
Desferal = 3 with Tx only

This is such wonderful news!  You have done such an excellent job bringing your ferritin down!  And what an example you have set for others Umair!  If you can bring your levels down from where you were at - others can do it too!!!  Congratulations on what you have done for yourself and how you have encouraged others!  What you have done represents what this site is all about - what the most important factor in thalassemia care is!

Perhaps next time your ferritin will be <100ng/ml!

thanx ,, its all bcoze of u all ,,, u guyz encouraged me to keep going ,, u guys made me stand-up again whenever i   fell ..  its bcoze of every kidn of support by u guys and especialy by ANDY ,,, who were always there for me to help me and to encourage me ,, to give me hope to keep strugling ,,, and he  is stil always there to help me  and others ..  .. it was impossible to get on this mark without the encouragement and support of ANDy , You ,, Zaini ,, Manal and all otherz ....  so ,, ,,THAK YOU ALL FOR BEEN THERE FOR ME  TO ENCOURAGE ME AND TO SUPPORT ME IN THE BATTLE AGAINST THALASSEMIA AND IRON ... ..

Is your HCV also under control and are you still using Nigella seeds? I am asking because another member is trying to decide if interferon should be used again.

i never been tested for HCV quantitive test after that time last year ,, in which that was negative ,...  im' not using nigela but i'll start taking that again  ... ...  ,, i'm going to post my latest LFT reports as well, in another thread ..  ..
