Note, In Memory of Sajid Rauf ( He was the Man by the Window )

Hospital Window
Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same
hospital room.
One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour
each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.
His bed was next to the room's only window.
The other man had to spend all his time flat on his
back.
The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their
wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their
involvement in the military service, where they had
been on vacation.
Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window
could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to
his roommate all the things he could see outside the
window.
The man in the other bed began to live for those one
hour periods where his world would be broadened and
enlivened by all the activity and color of the world
outside.
The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks
and swans played on the water while children sailed
their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm
amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the
city skyline could be seen in the distance.
As the man by the window described all this in
exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the
room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque
scene .
One warm afternoon the man by the window described a
parade passing by.
Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he
could see it. In his mind's eye as the gentleman by
the window portrayed it with descriptive words.
Days and weeks passed.
One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for
their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man
by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.
She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to
take the body away.
As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked
if he could be moved next to the window . The nurse
was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he
was comfortable, she left him alone.
Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow
to take his first look at the real world outside. He
strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside
the bed.
It faced a blank wall.
The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his
deceased roommate who had described such wonderful
things outside this window.
The nurse responded that the man was blind and could
not even see the wall.
She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you ."

Epilogue:

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy,
despite our own situations.
Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when
shared, is doubled.
If you want to feel rich, just count all the things
you have that money can't buy
.

Best Regards
Take Care

Sometimes , God breaks our spirit to save our soul.
Sometimes , He breaks our heart to make us whole.
Sometimes , He sends us pain so we can be stronger.
Sometimes , He sends us failure so we can be humble.
Sometimes , He sends us illness so we can take better care of our selves.
Sometimes , He takes everything away from us so we can learn the value of everything we have.

Umair,

That is so moving, it describes how I felt when I found out about Sajid passing.  I believe everyone had that feeling, he was so busy trying to fill our lives with hope and beauty but he never told us about the difficulties that he was actually facing.  He was the first one to offer support and advice when one of us needed it - but when asked about how he was doing he always cheerfully reported that he was fine.

Missing you a lot Sajid it is beginning to feel like centuries since I last read your post  :sorrow :sorrow :sorrow

Hi Mariam ,
You are absolutely right .. i like your words that you have with us in your post ... thank you for sharing your view ,yeah  its true that , it doesnt matter how much money you have .. thing that is we all  have to go one day , and all those thing will remain here .. we will go only with our deeds .. our wealth will remain in this world , thats why i consider that real wealth is wat we can take with us after our death that is our deed our good works .. everyone has to left his/her memories in this world for the people he/she know ... some left good and some bad ofcourse who left good memories people will pray for him after him and people will remember him for a long time , thats wat real success is ... thats wat i want ... thats wat real goal is and thats wat Sajid achieved , ..
May Give him High Ranks in Jannah  ( Jannat-al-Firdous ) .. May his soul rest in Peace .. Ameen

when he was born i never took him out of the room
why?
so he wouldnt catch anything how stupid was i
aysam has everything he wants everything he askes for
but one thing i cant give him is  his health
you know  what before aysam was born all i used to think and talk and mention was money
money i used to say was happineess and gety you things you get respect
money is power
ha
i dont think like this now
now no money can cure aysam
so money is nothing i have lernt alout in life from aysam been sick
money buys you things not happeinss not love not health
aysam is os smart for a 2 year old he talks and know s everything
he has convesations and all and he si checky
he tricks me plays with my heart every day aysam gows outside picks a flower and gives it to me and says moring mummy

for support and alll your careing hearts and souls
but i wish i can but him one thing its health
so money is nothing
you are rich in your head and poor in your head
not your  pockets
if you are rich in your head its meens you have big hearts big brains good person this
a rich person
a poor person isnt there pockets
its there heads also you could have millons
