my 5months old baby was confirmed as having thal major last month. this month is his second time doing the blood transfusion.is there any possibilities that i can cure him as he's still young.

Hi Joyce,
Bone marrow transplant is currently the only cure. This requires a matching donor, most often a sibling. You can read about a BMT experience at a thread you have replied to, at

A gene therapy cure for thalassemia is coming, but this will take some time to go through trials and be perfected and approved.
