Hi.  My name is Sam Campbell.  I live in Ohio with my husband Andy, our son Cullen (14.5, homegrown) and our daughter Kieren.  Kieren was adopted from YangJiang City, Guangdong Province, China in 2005 at 8.5 months old as a NSN (non-special needs).  Kieren is 6 years-old and was diagnosed last fall with Alpha Thal Trait.  The Alpha Thal was a shock to all of us.

We are here hoping to find out more about Thal.  Kieren has horrible headache and stomach pains.  We had a bit of a health scare a couple of months ago when Kieren got Fifths Disease from school.  Our specialist and our family doctor aren't very helpful and like to blow us off when we have questions.  Hopefully we can find answers here.

Thanks for having us here!
Sam
