If the parents are willing to abort the fetus, then they can take their chances and abort if it is shown through CVS or amnio that the mom is carrying a major. In fact, this is what is often done when it is discovered. If you want to avoid having to abort, then IVF is the only solution.

I've been searching info of IVF for Thal carrier couple in my country. It's more expensive as compare to normal IVF whc is called IVF with PGD(Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis) and it costs about USD7000 (MYR25000).
IVF process is not easy also.. So I have to prepared myself for that.
